Project Overview

The Pocket Parks for Texans Initiative is about transforming underused land into vibrant, functional green spaces that bring communities together. By creating three types of pocket parks (small, medium, and large), we will showcase how these spaces can provide recreation, environmental benefits, and community connection. Once these initial models are built, we plan to focus on smaller parks to maximize impact across Texas.

The Texas Way

Small Steps, Great Distances

When problems arise, we don’t complain and let them get worse. We come together as a team, take small steps, and move in the right direction. Every plant restored, every yard transformed, and every garden built is progress toward a better future for all Texans.

Flooding is a problem every Texan knows we face, and stopping it is at the core of our mission. This is about protecting our land, growing gardens that feed our communities, and showing that working together makes Texas stronger.

By taking action, focusing on solutions, and helping one another, we can create a stronger, more resilient Texas for generations to come. Together, we can make it happen.
